Why did you choose your venue?
We fell in love with our Le Petit Chateau wedding venue the moment we saw it online, we hadn’t even viewed it in person when we booked it as we were living in Australia at the time. It had a quirky boutique vibe which was right up our street.
Did you have a theme? What was the inspiration for your wedding?
Our theme was floral and simple for the most part of our big day, we used our wedding breakfast as an opportunity to introduce our love of travel, naming our tables all the places we visited whilst we lived in Australia.
What was your wedding colour scheme?
Our colours were pale pink and white.
Tell us about your dress and grooms wear:
My wedding dress was from the amazing Mia Sposa Boutique, it was the Pronovias Epico dress picked by Carole, one of the lovely ladies working in the Boutique. I didn’t even want that style of dress until she convinced me to try it on and it was a clear winner.
Who did your hair and makeup?
The amazing Kate Lilley did my make up, she has been doing my make up since I first arrived back in the UK. She was highly recommended by a friend and now I can’t recommend her enough! Helping her was Emmy, who is also amazing and all my bridesmaids and my Mam commented on how beautiful they both made us all feel. Lisa Cameron did all of our hairs, all different styles, all in one morning! She was fabulous!
Who did your flowers and what did you chose?
Philippa’s Flowers made our lovely displays and bouquets. We absolutely loved them. We chose white and pink flowers, roses being the main feature.
Are there any other suppliers you would like to mention?
One Digital Image were so professional, friendly and helped massively to make the day run smoothly. Vanilla and Dreams Cake Design, Rebecca made the most beautiful cake, everyone commented on how delicious it was.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Our favourite part was saying our vows and the enjoying the stunning grounds with all of our lovely guests.
What is your top tip for another Bride and Groom?
Stick together, don’t be separated for hours saying hello to different people, do it together. We did and we were very grateful to be given the same advice.
How did we do?
We highly recommend Focal Point, the photographers who capture the most natural, meaningful moments without you even realising. Professional, friendly and very experienced, what more could you want? Thank you so much David and Paul, for everything. Our photographs are still the topic of conversation within our families and friends today. We can’t thank you enough, memories to last a lifetime and they’re perfectly captured.
